Ahem.
So if I have talked to you at all recently, I have mentioned - nay, COMPLAINED - about how my daughter is not sleeping anymore. She's up twice a night, on average, and wants to snuggle and nurse in bed with me. I may have mentioned how I was being PLAYED by this baby, who was clearly fine and just wanted to be held in the middle of the night. I may have even eluded to the fact that it was time to just let her cry already, so that we could finally get a good night's sleep. Truth be told, I never have the stomach for letting them cry, not really, but I know it would work, if I would just suck it up and do it.
If I've talked to you recently, we've had this conversation.
Then today, a full two weeks after Emmy stopped sleeping, it dawned on me - I've been forgetting to feed my baby.
She hasn't had lunch in two weeks.
We dropped a nursing session, but I FORGOT to replace it with baby food. She just ... hasn't been eating from 9ish until 1:30ish every afternoon. And it turns out that if you drop a baby's feeding, they will start waking up in the middle of the night to eat again.
Because they are HUNGRY.
Send all of your gold stars for my Mother of the Year award right here, friends.

I would gladly send you my MOTY award, but it's place is firmly set on our mantel after I allowed Luke to FLIP OFF THE CHANGING TABLE AND LAND ON HIS HEAD last week.
Stephanie, you get the gold star today. love, mamamamaa
