I have a new love: the Discovery Channel's Planet Earth series.
Have you seen it? I've been watching it off and on all day. It's just ... mesmerizing. I really don't think I've ever seen anything on television so beautiful.
I know what you mean however, I just can't watch it. Any time I see mammals die (sadly, I don't really have any emotional ties or sympathy for reptiles, insects, or fish and crustaceans) I just can't watch... I do understand that unless the cute little elephant dies the cute little lion will die too but it is still too painful to watch.
I guess I should clarify that watching an elephant die wasn't beautiful, but this was the best clip I could find of the show. The views and cinematography are what are beautiful.
