My friend Laurie turned 30 today. Which means I have known her for half of her life, and not quite half of mine. (This is Laurie, circa 1998ish, as the agape fairy at Chrysalis. You're welcome.)
Truthfully I cannot think of anyone who would want to be blogged about LESS than Laurie, so she hardly ever comes up here. (Here she is, holding a very young small early Asher).
But knowing Laurie for half of her life, and not quite half of mine, has changed me. My perspective on life and God and faith would be different without her. And that's a big deal. (Tell me this is not the best little kid big sister picture you've ever seen.)
So happy birthday friend. This chocolate chip cookie's for you.
