1. 20 minutes on the elliptical yesterday, and I didn't feel as though someone may have to wheel me out of the gym. I wouldn't call that success, exactly, but at least I didn't embarrass myself again. And I was slightly vindicated when my friend got the machine with the mountain-climbing setting I had last time and couldn't finish it either. So last week it was partially my pitiful lack of exercise over the past few months causing me to huff and puff, but the crazy setting on the machine didn't help either.
2. Today is our - mine and the kids' - declared Day Off. I have one unavoidable errand, but otherwise you can find us elbow-deep in Play Doh and dump trucks today. I am looking forward to a quiet day. For the record, I am also super excited to NOT be hosting Thanksgiving tomorrow. I love having people over, but am glad I get to skip the prep work.
3. Silas has reached the age where he is beginning to express his own will. Yesterday his dad gave Asher some of Silas' peaches (that he wasn't eating - for the record) and there is no other word to describe Silas' reaction but to say he was PISSED. Just MAD at his dad. He's also started getting mad at his brother and trying to defend himself or his toys. It's a good, healthy part of development, but part of me wonders just how many wills our little house can handle. We're packed to the gills with opinions around this joint.
Happy Tuesday all.
