new

I just did something.

I started a different blog.

Mostly because I'm about to delve into the realm of toddler activities, and if you aren't the parent of a toddler (as many of you are not), you will soon lose interest and go read a different blog, and then I would be sad and forlorn. So in order to keep you coming back here, I created a different space specifically for toddler ideas.

But if you ARE the parent of a toddler, good news! I just started another blog.

It's called what to do on a rainy day, and the goal is to drum up some business. What I mean is - some of you have good ideas and have been holding out on me. Some of you also follow blogs with good ideas, that I forget to read or that also are personal blogs, and on the days when I'm just looking for fun and interesting things to do with Asher, I don't have time to thumb through post after post of someone else's life in order to sift out an idea for an activity here and there. And in general, the internet is just not coming through the way I thought it would (which is undoubtedly operator error, since anyone who knows me in real life knows how terrible I am at searching for ANYTHING, from keys to song lyrics). So I have created a whole other blog, where I will post my ideas and you can post your ideas and your links to other good ideas and hopefully none of us will be as ca-razy on the next rainy day.

But - and this is key - IT ONLY WORKS IF YOU DO IT WITH ME. I can't be this little idea-generating community all by myself. Or I can, but I'm already doing that, and then why bother writing about it at all? So please please, come and visit, often. Even though right now it's sterile and I'm feeling like I'm standing in front of a podium in an empty room, talking to myself and listening to my voice bounce off the wall and laughing self-consciously but doing it anyway. Really, you don't want to leave me in a socially awkward moment indefinitely do you? So go. Say hello. And send your ideas for fun things to do with your kids my way.

Happy Saturday all.
