dirty

Well, first there was the diaper that soiled all the way up to Silas's NECK, requiring a 6:30 am emergency bath in the kitchen sink.

Next there was the rush of water through the driveway at 9 am that Asher physically could not resist, no matter how many times he was asked to stay on the front steps. So he needed a new pair of pants.

And there are the two runny noses that require nearly constant cleaning with umpteen baby washcloths throughout the day.

Also? Six dirty diapers today. SIX. six.

Then there were the mud puddles.

And that required another bath, with an entire new outfit.

Then, half an hour later, I spilled about two weeks worth of very sticky, very expensive medicine all over myself, the couch, Silas, and the carpet. Silas and I both needed new pants as a result.

Which means - it's only 5 pm, and already we've been through 7 pairs of pants, two shirts, one pair of pajamas, half a dozen dish towels, and another half dozen wash cloths.

Some days are dirtier than others.

How true.

One of you youth volunteers died today. At church. It's been a crazy sad day.
