2. Does anyone know about gestational diabetes? I'm thirsty all the time (even though I also drink what feels to me like a substantial amount of water) and I get tired after eating any sugar. Any. Yesterday I had a balanced lunch with ample protein; a few hours later I had something sweet and still crashed. It feels like my blood sugar is getting worse. I'm starting to wonder about gestational diabetes. Any insight?
3. My child. My sweet, curioius, mild-mannered child, has been possessed by a screaming kid. He's pulling at both ears, drooling incessantly, not sleeping well - curse those teeth. I want my calm baby back.
4. I am finally uploading all of my holiday and post holiday pictures, so I leave you with a few baby shots. If I'm going to have fluff, it ought to at least be cute fluff, right? The person who can write the best caption for the last photo wins.
Happy Monday everyone.

Certainly talk to your doctor, although I will tell you I was thirsty throughout and did not have gestational diabetes. But, it is a simple blood test.
Dad, sloooooooow down!
I had GD....I was thirsty, yes, and peeing like crazy. I was also exhausted...and this sounds like, well, a normal pregnancy. A test at 5 months is usually standard anymore. If you haven't had one, you might want to ask...
I was borderline for GD with my first. I failed the first test but passed the 2nd. I don't think it hits this early tho. I *think* you have to be more pg but, I am often mistaken.
Since I had a scare, I would get paranoid w/my other pgs because i was SO THIRSTY all the time, but I never had it.
I think the crashing part is probably due more to the fact that you are pregnant with a little one at home. I think having a toddler + a newborn waking you up all night is still better than being pregnant while caring for a toddler. Less tiring, if you can believe it.
