Thanks for all the responses.
Since we're all reading one another's blogs anyway, and since too much press actually backfires, and makes a person less likely to be interested in a topic, I'm not going to keep doing a post a day to highlight the day's cause and organization. Instead, I'm going to keep the sidebar up-to-date. You can click on the appropriate blog and go directly to the post related to the 40 Day Fast. Also, this will be nice when we're finished, to have all causes and organizations in chronological order. Because I love order just that much ...
As an aside, someone categorized me as an "organized by nature" (or birth, or something) person yesterday. Mom! Stephanie (Georgia's mom)! Did you hear that? ME, organized by nature? They clearly never saw my bedroom when I was growing up. But now, yeah, maybe ... I do love love love order and routine, sometimes more than is probably good for any of us. And I'll just let that say whatever it says about me, because either way it's true.
So. I hope everyone is having a good weekend. It's thundering here, and we desperately need the rain. By the way, did you all know that Bob Riley, the governor of Alabama, called for a week of prayer for rain? And that it started raining the FIRST DAY of the week of prayer? I love it.
Happy Saturday, all.
p.s. Meet Paean.

Gotta love that. Go God! Go rain!
I wish I could be as organized as your home always is. Everywhere you have lived, I am always ejalous of the simple oragnization.
I was certainly say you are are organized, but I don't know that I would necessarily say that defines you - you are so much more to me! :)
That picture is precious!!! I love your baby! And I can imagine that picture framed on your mother's piano. :)
The funny part of the comment was organized "by nature." If that's true, it should encourage every mom whose kid can't find her shoes/housekey/hairbows/homework, EVER. Because I was that kid before I was this one.
I can vouch for the "by nature" comment, since I did observe the messy room during adolescence -- but I think this was more a form of passive aggression, rebellion. Besides, you were just busy talking on the phone (this was before e-mail, although we did finally get instant messaging in your junior/senior year)... But you were always very organized when it came to your homework, setting priorities, feeding friendships, studying your Bible -- all the things that mattered.
By the way, Liz is right -- that picture will look good on my piano!
Mamamamamamamama (soon to be Asher's first word) . . .
I think it was me that said that... and it was "born organized." And yes, it includes studying and "how" you do things. No, it is not the only thing that defines you! I hope you didn't think I meant that. What I meant was I didn't know how to be organized and my thoughts are not organized. I had to be taught how to be "organized" and it is a constant battle. I actually had a neat room in my late teens, but I was not organized. Am I making any sense? See? I am being redundant, proving that I cannot even follow my own train of thougts!!!!
I guess what I was trying to say is taht the organizational group that I subscribe to describes people as either "born organized" or "sidetracked home executives" and I would not even remember that except it is an acronym "BO" and "SHE." I'll stop rambling now...well, for now.
